Fishing Guided Drift Boat Steelhead Klic in Klickitat, WA

Fishing Guided Drift Boat Steelhead Klic

Guided Salmon and Steelhead Fishing Trips Klickitat River Washington State
The Klickitat river is by far one of the best kept secrets in fresh water fishing.
Providing guided drift boat trips, fishing eight to ten miles a day. Overnight accommodations available in unique riverside open beam cabins.
Klickitat River Guides is a third generation guide service that was founded by my father Phil Zoller in the 1960s.
Most of the river runs through a remote road less no trails Indian reservation. The lower 30 miles is ran with drift boats.
Our company holds one of two fishing guides permits on the USFS Wild and Scenic section, which provides us with low guided pressure.
The Klickitat is a glacier flowing stream with water that stays cool enabling the fish to stay firm and powerful. Salmon and Steelhead migrate from the Pacific ocean up the Columbia River and into the Klickitat . The fish migration starts in the spring and continues into the next winter with different runs through the seasons.
The climate in the Klickitat valley is very unique. As the storms come in off the pacific the rain drops off in the Cascade Range as it moves east. Twenty miles west of the Klickitat its a rain forest, ten miles east its a desert. We have pine and oak forest with the south faced hills being mixed with open natural meadows. A perfect setting for all types of wildlife.
